Trust

As some of you may know, whether you know me personally or read my introduction post, my family has chickens and rabbits. I’ve come to feel that God often uses the things already in our lives, the things we’re familiar with, to give us little “winks” throughout the day. These winks are like brief moments where we get a glimpse into His heart, or a chance to see something through His eyes. These moments could capture a profound epiphany or a simple reminder of His presence.

This evening, we let our chickens and bunnies out to frolic in the fallen leaves and crisp breeze, releasing them from their well-forged homes built to keep them safe from predators. As we do most evenings, we let the chickens and bunnies out together to share a fenced-in grassy area where they can forage, get the zoomies, play tag, or simply sunbathe. This involves getting them fresh water to share and typically inflating the inflatable wiggle/ dance man to scare of the chicken hawks. If you don't know what that is, I am placing a picture below 👇

This amazing predator hack came from a chicken Facebook I belong too....it was genius. Okay, sorry...back to my trust wink from the Lord today. After our sweet feathered and fur babies had been out for a while and it was time to tuck them back into their warm, safe homes, my daughter and I stepped into the fenced area where they were—and they swarmed our feet. These beautiful bunnies and sweet hens came running toward us. There was no fear in them, no reluctance, just love and TRUST.

In that moment, I was reminded that random chickens or bunnies who don’t know us would never run up to us in that same loving way, because we haven’t earned that TRUST with them. But our feathered and fur babies have been with us for as long as they can remember. We feed them, give them fresh water, bring snacks, keep them safe, and most of all, love on them. We give them affection.

There are other chickens and bunnies out there who may have had to fend for themselves and don’t know that they could TRUST, simply because they don’t have a relationship with us.

And that is so much like our relationship with the LORD and the world’s relationship with Him. As believers in Christ, we have spent time with the Lord. We’ve seen His faithfulness in our moments of need or trouble. He provides for us everything we truly have need of. It may not always be physical food or manna like the children of Israel received, but He gives us daily grace and daily mercy.

Just as our animals know we will care for them, we learn to TRUST the Shepherd who provides for us. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. Psalm 23:1

The Lord tends to our worries the way we tend to the needs of our animals, with gentleness and consistency. Cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

We are receivers of Gods daily grace. Daily mercy. Just as sure as morning comes, He is faithful. His mercies are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22–23

. We trust the Lord because we know His voice, and we’ve experienced His goodness. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. John 10:27.

I wish I could take all the bunnies and chickens in the world and love on them and show them how it feels to be cared for and loved. How much more does GOD wish that for all of HIS children. He has so much for LOVE for us all! He wants us to TRUST Him and have a relationship with Him, one that will give us the best quality of life possible. TRUST Him TODAY!! 👇👇

Love you♥ God Bless♥
