Unapologetically Undignified: A Woman’s Call to Radical Worship

I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes. -King David

Girlfriend, let's talk radical. What does that mean anyway?? Well, radical is defined as, going to the root; complete, thorough, and far-reaching, often outside what is considered normal, safe, or acceptable. Can I get a little nerdy with you? Hope you said yes, cause here I go. If we really pick apart this word, we will see that the Latin word for radical is: "radix", which means "root". So, if we are talking about "radical" worship, we must be talking about the root of worship. The root of worships literal meaning is the act of ascribing worth. To worship means to declare, recognize, and respond to the worth of someone or something. So, when we display RADICAL WORSHIP it means that we are recognizing God and declaring HIS WORTH from the very deepest parts of our being, the root of who we are declares the reverence, the magnification of the sovereignty of our GOD.

The reason I feel so pressed to share this is because I believe there are some of my sisters who long to pour out their entire bottle of perfume at the feet of Jesus, with no regard for those around them, but hesitate for their own reasons. My hope is that by the end of this read, you will be less focused on what Sister Betty or Brother Jim might think and more willing to relinquish all of yourself to the leading of the Holy Spirit. My soul rejoices in God’s presence. I can’t shove that into my purse, swallow the shout bursting through my lips, or suck up the tears flowing from my eyes. His presence is so holy and so overwhelming, so near and so consuming, that restraint would be disobedience and worship becomes my only response.

I desire for you my sisters to worship the Lord in FREEDOM! When we look back over our lives and see all that God has done, the promises He has fulfilled, the moments He kept you when you should have been overwhelmed, defeated, or destroyed, there is no room for silent gratitude. Freedom-filled worship is the natural response to a faithful God. Girlfriend, shake of the heavy chains of worry, fear or doubt!! Give God what He so dearly deserves and longs for, ALL of you. All of your RADICAL praise and worship. It is in the moments when you lose yourself in the presence of God that you are truly found, fully free, and completely surrendered to who He is.

So, yes I will unapologetically worship my God with all that I have inside of me because it all belongs to Him anyway. The very breath in my lungs is God-breathed. Do you realize that humans are the only living beings' scripture describes as having life breathed directly into them by God? The Bible tells us that God breathed life into Adam. WOW! Genesis 2:7 (NIV)Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

I want to challenge you to set your eyes on the Lord and no one else. Radically worship Him with all you have, leave nothing in reserve, hold nothing back, and let every ounce of your heart, soul, and strength declare His worth. I want to leave you with a very special nugget of wisdom a dear friend, spiritual mentor, anointed woman, powerhouse praise and worship leader told me that, "our obedience is connected to someone else's life."  You never know how many hearts might be lifted, how many lives changed, because you dared to worship God radically and UNAPOLOGETICALLY UNDIGNIFIED.

♥LOVE YOU♥GOD BLESS♥
